As part of the 125th anniversary celebrations of the Ramakrishna Mission, a public meeting was held in the premises of the Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Memorial , Porbandar. Sri Mulubhai  Bera, Minister of Forest, Tourism, Cultural Activities Department of Gujarat State was the Chief guest. On this occasion, dignitaries released the book '25 years development of Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Memorial, Porbandar' written by Jyotibehan Thanki, a renowned gujarati writer of Porbandar. Swami Vishwatmanandaji, Adhyaksh, Ramakrishna Advaita Ashram, presided over the meeting. All the heads of Gujarat centres attended meeting, officials of Gujarat Bhava Prachar Parishad and a large number of devotees attended the meeting.

Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Memorial, Porbandar, has distributed ration kits to 421 families who are affected due to the lockdown for COVID-19 pandemic on 3 April 2020.

Each ration kit contains wheat flour, bajara, rice, mung dal, gram dal, edible oil, salt, snacks, sugar, tea power, biscuits and bathing soaps.

Ramakrishna Mission, Porbandar celbrated the National Youth Day  on 12 Jan 2020. Statue of Swamiji was Garlanded by Ashram inmates.  A prize distribution ceremony for the different competitions like elocution, speech, essay, Vichar prachar pariksha on Swami Vivekanandaji’s life etc. was held in ashram premises. Shri Shri Bharatbhai Patel Dy.SP, Porbandar, was the President of Programme and Shri Rameshwarlal Kumavat, Principal, Jawahar Navoday Vidyalaya, Porbandar was the Chief Guest.
